Newcomer Case Management

Getting settled can be challenging. But you don’t have to do it alone.

Resilia Newcomer Case Management provides comprehensive
psychosocial needs assessments and ongoing case management services
for newcomer refugees resettling in Winnipeg. Arriving in a new country
can be overwhelming. It comes with navigating unfamiliar systems,
learning a new language and culture, and coping with trauma and loss. Our
program goal is to ensure that each newcomer that arrives in Winnipeg
has access to the practical as well as mental health support they need for
a successful resettlement process.

Our case management team assists in identifying mental, physical, and
emotional needs, as well as immediate settlement issues. Ongoing services
then provide direct support to effectively address these needs and reduce
the barriers encountered in the resettlement process. All our work is done
in the clients’ language of preference. Participation is voluntary and all our
services are provided at no cost to the clients.

We provide continued supports which include:

  • Case Management Services
  • Crisis Counselling
  • Supporting connections with ethnocultural communities
  • Supported referrals to community resources and formal newcomer
    organizations
